COWBOY JUNKIES

The Cowboy Junkies were formed in 1985 in Toronto and are still comprised of its four original members: Margo Timmins, Michael Timmins, Peter Timmins and Alan Anton. This band’s most well know song is their haunting cover of the Velvet Underground's “Sweet Jane,” which rose to platinum prominence under the umbrella of the band's The Trinity Session. Recorded over the course of a single day in 1988, inside a local church using only a single microphone, the album garnered the Junkies a reputation that would soon transcend the borders of their home country.
